Youth, mental health and employability programmes
Leading communication in Morocco for several programmes on mental health, psychosocial support, employability and prevention among young people.
Context and role
The assignment, beyond its job title.
I support Soleterre in Morocco on strategy, messaging, visibility and multichannel rollout for several projects aimed at young people and the people around them.
The problem
What made this project demanding.
BEING, CEI, Work is Progress and INNOVE deal with sensitive realities for different audiences. The communication has to be accessible, non-stigmatising, consistent across partners and funders, and still usable by field teams.
Intervention
The decisions and actions that shaped it.
An approach fitted to the context, the actors involved and the deliverables actually expected.
- 01
Structure the programmes’ communication, their audiences, their key messages and their visibility priorities.
- 02
Adapt content for young people, families, professionals, institutional partners and support organisations.
- 03
Coordinate print, digital, event and audiovisual materials with the teams and suppliers.
- 04
Prevent risks of stigmatisation, misunderstanding and reputational damage on sensitive social subjects.
Deliverables
What was produced.
- Communication for the BEING project on youth mental health
- Communication for the CEI project on psychological support for children with cancer
- Work is Progress activities on youth employability and incubation
- Communication for the EU-funded INNOVE project
- Field materials, digital content, audiovisual production and event visibility
What the assignment brought
What the work put in place.
- More consistent communication across the programmes and their various touchpoints.
- Messages and materials matched to the realities of young people, families and partners.
- Better alignment between project objectives, funder requirements and how field teams actually work.

What this project demonstrates
A capability tested against reality.
The ability to run communication across several projects on sensitive social issues, adapt messages to the communities concerned, and connect strategy, production, rollout and risk prevention.
